They are <em>raslila<\/em>, which enacts the turning points of Lord Krishna\u2019s life, and <em>ramlila<\/em>, which enacts the events of Prince Rama\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both of them are closely connected to the North Indian <em><a href=\".\/the-drama-proper\/\">bhakti<\/a><\/em> movement. They are both performed by amateur actors, while pre-adolescent boys play the main roles.
