She has been a dance teacher at Kallio High School since 2000 and has taught dance in 40 countries. M\u00e4kinen has choreographed works for Zodiak \u2013 Centre for New Dance, Helsinki City Theatre, Ryhm\u00e4teatteri, Tampere Workers\u2019 Theatre, and in the independent field.
